A flurry of pickups of the extension of the deadline<\/a> emerged in the wee hours of the morning. Most foreign coverage had been focused on Qatar\u2019s defiance<\/a>, with the Wall Street Journal saying<\/a> that by rejecting the list of demands, Qatar is facing \u201ca potential volley of new punitive measures\u201d (paywall).
