DMC broke down Foreign Minister <\/strong>Abdelatty\u2019s activities at the UN General Assembly <\/strong>meetings in New York yesterday, <\/strong>including several international meetings that discussed the challenges facing the Middle East following Israel's brutal attack on Gaza. Speaking on the segment, political analyst Mac Sharkawy said that the US is wasting all opportunities afforded by the UN General Assembly and UN Security Council to implement a ceasefire or hold Israel to account (watch, runtime: 6:25<\/a>).<\/p>\n

An inside look at Is<\/strong>rael since the war on Gaza began:<\/strong> Hebrew Professor Ahmed Fouad Anwar spoke on the program El Sa\u2019a El Sadesa with Azza Mostafa about the transformation of Israeli society since the war in Gaza began, saying that while many in the country believe that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\u2019s actions will lead to the recovery of hostages, Netanyahu and his ongoing trial in Israeli courts is a constant matter of debate within Israel. He added that he believes that the majority of the Israeli public wants an agreement to end the fighting and exchange hostages to be reached now. Anwar also speculated that Netanyahu\u2019s addition of securing Israel\u2019s north as a goal is an attempt to distract the Israeli public from his failure to achieve his previous goals in Gaza (watch, runtime: 7:13<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Will tensions ease on th<\/strong>e Lebanon-Israel border?<\/strong> Speaking on Yahduth Fi Masr, diplomat Mostafa El Feki told host Sherif Amer that Israel\u2019s allies are currently \u201cwashing their hands\u201d of the conflict, sensing that the end of the war in Gaza is near. El Feki added that US President Joe Biden\u2019s speech at the UN General Assembly simply \u201clip service.\u201d El Feki believes that Hezbollah will de-escalate the conflict and that Iran sees an end to the conflict that could serve its dialogue with the West, pointing out that the country has its own geopolitical goals guiding its behavior beyond its support for the Palestinian cause. Sherif Amer also weighed in on President Joe Biden\u2019s speech at the UN General Assembly, calling it \u201ccompletely out of touch with reality\u201d (watch, runtime: 22:30<\/a>). <\/p>\n

PLUS- Aswan\u2019s E. coli<\/strong> outbreak: <\/strong>Speaking on Yahduth Fi Masr, Aswan Governor Ismail Kamal responded to the Health Ministry\u2019s concerns about the outbreak of the \u201cmysterious illness\u201d in the Abu El Rish and Daraw areas of the governorate by saying that, \u201cThe situation is stable, the number of cases is gradually decreasing, and affected cases are expected to be discharged by the end of this week or early next week at the latest\u201d (watch, runtime: 6:17<\/a>).<\/p>\n
