Cyprus plans to start supplying 1 bn cubic feet of gas per day from its Aphrodite offshore field to Egypt between 2027 and 2028, according to unconfirmed reports.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\">\n<hr style=\"height:2px;border-width:0;color:gray;background-color:gray\">\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"> <a id=\"wwtt2\"><\/a> <strong>#2- Swvl is the latest target of short seller <\/strong><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wolfpackresearch.com\/items\/swvl%2C-a-%E2%80%9Ctransportation-as-a-service%E2%80%9D-start-up-appears-to-be-a-few-breaths-away-from-bankruptcy\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Wolfpack Research<\/a><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>The short seller claimed Cairo-born, UAE-based mass transit app Swvl is a \u201cfew breaths away from bankruptcy\u201d and in \u201cdire financial conditions.\u201d Wolfpack thinks Swvl\u2019s operations will soon \u201cgrind to a halt as they run out of money.\u201d Enterprise was unable to reach Swvl for comment by our deadline for dispatch. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>The road to alleged bankruptcy: <\/strong>Swvl was hit with <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/371428c9-41e3-4364-b81b-273b0a0b1086\/%253cmark%253eswvl%253c%2Fmark%253e-hit-with-a-second-nasdaq-delisting-notice,-will-unwind-volt-lines-acquisition\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">two delisting warnings<\/a> from Nasdaq last year after the market value of its listed securities dipped below the required USD 50 mn, with its share price falling below the USD 1.00 mark for several months in 2023. This was mainly due to market volatility, as well as rising expenses and costs associated with the listing. The company exited several markets by selling off a number of its subsidiaries and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/investors.swvl.com\/news-releases\/news-release-details\/swvl-reports-further-steps-its-portfolio-optimization-program\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">laying off 50% of its global workforce<\/a> as part of its portfolio optimization strategy. Swvl shares are currently down 68% since the company\u2019s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/a69885d2-afc6-4a1c-8aef-016b926777d5\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">IPO in April 2022<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Market reax: <\/strong>Swvl shares were up 4.6% by the end of trading following the news to USD 3.19 a share.
