Egyptian researcher Ahmed Osman Ahmed believes diesel fuel tech can still be useful <\/strong>even if the substance itself goes extinct.<\/strong> The Queen\u2019s University-based scientist tells The National<\/a>\u2019s Gavin du Venage that Dimethyl Ether (DME) is a clean and renewable alternative to diesel that uses the same compression engines minus all the toxins. \u201cIt can be used for cooking and heating as a replacement for propane or in transportation as a fuel in cars or even in the power generation to produce electricity,\u201d Ahmed says.
