It was another slow day in Omm El Donia yesterday as families with kids at international schools slowly trickled back to campus and the rest of the business community got in some more time in Sahel. With Q2 earnings season now behind us, the VIX index for business and finance news in Egypt will be high the next week and a half<\/strong> heading into the 31 August long weekend. We\u2019re all back by 5 September for what we expect will be a very busy fall. Also in town: A UK security delegation is in Cairo for three days to inspect security <\/strong>procedures at Cairo International Airport<\/strong>, according to Ahram Gate<\/a>. At stake: The lifting of the UK\u2019s ban on the in-cabin use of electronic devices on flights to London out of CAI. The US, whose electronic ban had prompted the UK to implement its own restrictions, lifted its laptop ban on EgyptAir flights to New York back in July.<\/p>\n
