The Potato Growers Association of Western Australia (PGAWA) was set to receive AUD 60k in state government funding and AUD 40k provided from the Association to \u201cbuild up trade relations\u201d with Egypt. PGAWA\u2019s CEO says Western Australian is well-equipped to supply Egypt \u201cbecause of the alternate seasons, and lack of supply during the off-season,\u201d but that it would not be feasible for eating potatoes because of competition from Europe.
