Egypt officially received its second Type 209\/1400 submarine from ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems in Germany yesterday<\/a> at a military and flag raising ceremony in the port city of Kiel. The submarine, known as the S42, is the second of a four-part order. The remaining two submarines are expected to be delivered by 2021. Naval Today<\/a> says the new vessels are to replace the older Romeo-class submarines.
