Kuwait is trying to launch a new initiative to mediate between Egypt, the GCC <\/strong>countries and Qatar<\/strong> through focusing on \u201cspecific measures that would \u2018facilitate the start of an open dialogue,\u2019\u201d Gulf News reports<\/a>. \u201cKuwait is very keen to resolve the dispute within the framework of the Gulf, especially that all parties have stressed on more than one occasion that Kuwait\u2019s mediation is the only one that is internationally recognized and that can achieve the desired results and lead to direct dialogue between the states involved in the crisis,\u201d sources said. US envoys are also trying to resolve the dispute and are looking to shift the focus away from the 13 conditions demanded by the Saudi-led alliance<\/strong>, a source told Bloomberg<\/a>.
