The country\u2019s GDP growth for the year came in at 4.1%, slightly ahead of the 4.0% expected by the Planning Ministry. GDP growth for 4Q2016-17 stood at 4.9%. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2017-08-08\/egypt-budget-deficit-hits-5-year-low-after-cost-cutting-measures\">Bloomberg also has the story<\/a>, where it\u2019s getting heavy play on the business information service\u2019s Mideast front page.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Ismail cabinet is expected to give its final seal of approval today to the executive <\/strong><strong>regulations of the Investment Act<\/strong>. The Cabinet economic group unanimously approved the regs on Monday, Investment Minister Sahar Nasr <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shorouknews.com\/news\/view.aspx?cdate=08082017&id=4eaa6ec3-86cf-48f0-88b6-dbb8245d83a1\">said yesterday<\/a>. What\u2019s purportedly the most <a href=\"http:\/\/www.almalnews.com\/Media\/documents\/%D9%85%D8%B3%D9%88%D8%AF%D8%A9%20%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86%2099999.pdf\">recent draft of the document is here<\/a>.
