The company aims to commence work on the first project as soon as possible. <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Who\u2019s doing what? <\/strong>TEDA Holding will fund the project, while Nahdet Misr will be responsible for providing the waste.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding:0;margin:0;line-height:1.15;orphans:2;widows:2;text-align:left\"><strong>Fresh incentives for WtE projects may also be on the way:<\/strong> The Environment Ministry is considering raising the feed-in tariff rate for WtE plants \u2014 the set price that the government pays for the electricity they generate \u2014 in a bid to make the sector more attractive to investors, Waste Management Regulatory Authority (WRMA) consultant Khaled Elfarra <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/cddb654f-695e-48b6-bb71-2f45e6624b83\/waste-to-energy-projects-worth-up-to-usd-1.2-bn-could-be-coming-our-way-soon\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">recently told Enterprise<\/a>. The proposed price increase would see the feed-in-tariff rate rise to around EGP 2.35\/Kwh \u2014 up from <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.news\/egypt\/en\/news\/story\/2b8e85f3-4abd-445e-8890-22baac2066c3\" style=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">EGP 1.40\/Kwh<\/a>, which hasn\u2019t changed since 2019.
