The government is considering opening the door for the private sector to invest in desalination plants and move beyond just a mere contractor, government sources tell Al Borsa<\/a>. The Investment Ministry has commissioned a feasibility study to look into it, the source added. Initial conclusions find that plenty of regulations need to be put in place before private ownership of desalination plants can begin.
