#1- Another year for Abdalla as CBE governor: <\/strong>President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has reappointed Hassan Abdalla as the acting governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for another one-year term, according to a decree published in the Official Gazette. Abdalla has been the governor of the central bank since he took over from Tarek Amer in 2022<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Continuity is the name of the game: <\/strong>The decision to keep Abdalla at the helm of the central bank is meant to \u201creassure investors the North African nation is committed to orthodox policies,\u201d Bloomberg<\/a> writes.<\/p>\n

#2- New faces on <\/strong>Orascom Financial<\/strong>\u2019s board: <\/strong>B Investments Managing Director Abdel Monem Omran has been appointed chairman of Orascom Financial Holding (OFH) and B Investments Board Member Mostafa El Anwar was appointed his deputy, the company said in an EGX disclosure (pdf)<\/a>. <\/p>\n
