The Electricity Ministry and UAE\u2019s Al Nowais have yet to reach an agreement on the price of electricity the ministry plans to buy from the company\u2019s 2,600 MW coal power station in Sinai, Al Mal reports<\/a>. Talks have reached an impasse over what ministry officials say was Al Nowais\u2019 \u201chigh\u201d proposed tariff. The Emirati company had signed a MoU for the project in September 2014, but had reportedly rejected certain clauses in the contract for the project, including ones on arbitration and the government\u2019s financial guarantees.
