Legislative would give top anti-corruption watchdog full autonomy: <\/strong>The House of Representatives\u2019 Legislative Committee approved yesterday amendments to the law regulating the Administrative Control Authority (ACA), granting the anti-corruption watchdog complete technical, financial, and administrative authority,<\/strong> Ahram Gate reports<\/a>. The amendments \u2014 which the Ismail Cabinet had approved in July<\/a> \u2014 will place the ACA under the jurisdiction of Ittihadiya, giving the president\u2019s office authority to appoint the head of the organization to a four-year term.<\/p>\n
