Transport Minister Maksim Sokolov had said last month<\/a> that Egypt was ready to sign the agreement and that the decision to resume flights was in the hands of the Russian government, now that security experts have cleared Cairo Airport. Flights are expected to resume one month after the ban is lifted<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the region: Saudi and Russia are setting up a joint USD 1 bn energy fund in a bid to expand cooperation<\/strong>, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak revealed to Al Arabiya TV in an interview<\/a>. The fund will invest in various energy projects in both oil and gas, as well as renewables.
