That\u2019s why, following President Abdel Fattah El Sisi\u2019s declaration of 2017 as the Year of the Egyptian Woman, the National Council of Women launched an awareness-raising campaign entitled \u201cTaa Marbouta\u201d to promote women\u2019s social, political and economic empowerment in Egypt. Nahla Zeitoun writes for the World Bank\u2019s Arab Voices blog<\/a> that \u201cthe slogan of the campaign, \u2018Taa Marbouta is the Secret of your Power,\u2019 shows that the designation as \u2018feminine\u2019 should no longer be considered an obstacle to achievements.\u201d The campaign includes three PSAs supported by the NCW, UNFPA, UNDP, UN Women, USAID, and the Swedish International Development Agency.
