Wind and solar aren\u2019t the only points of focus of the government\u2019s energy strategy:<\/strong> The government has reportedly finished studies for two pumped storage hydropower projects with a combined capacity of 2 GW, Asharq Business<\/a> reports, citing an anonymous government official. The projects \u2014 which could cost up to USD 2.5 bn \u2014 are planned for Luxor and Qena. The Electricity Ministry plans to offer these projects to investors in the near future, the source told the news outlet.<\/p>\n

D\u00e9j\u00e0 vu?<\/strong> The news follows reports from last week that the Electricity Ministry plans to carry out USD 4 bn worth of hydroelectric power projects<\/a> in partnership with private players. Among these projects, is another pumped storage hydropower project in Egypt\u2019s mountainous Ataka region with a capacity of 2.4 GW.<\/p>\n

People love his midwestern dad vibes: <\/strong>Walz\u2019s seeming ordinariness<\/a> has endeared him to many, and his resume \u2014 which includes years spent as a high school teacher and American football coach \u2014 has further affirmed his \u201ceveryday Joe\u201d energy.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s called into question JD Vance\u2019s pheasant-shooting abilities: <\/strong>Walz, a former National Rifle Association darling who moved sharply to the left<\/a> on guns in 2018, hunts pheasants and turkeys in his home state of Minnesota.
