Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour <a href=\"https:\/\/arabic.rt.com\/middle_east\/911077-%D8%BA%D9%86%D8%AF%D9%88%D8%B1-%D9%84%D9%80rt-%D9%85%D8%B9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B5%D8%B1%D9%8A%D9%8A%D9%86-%D8%AD%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%A8-%D8%AD%D8%AA%D9%89-%D9%86%D8%B5%D9%84-%D8%A5%D9%84%D9%89-%D8%AD%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%8A%D8%A8\/\">went on RT Arabic<\/a> to say that Egypt has for the past years been eating into Sudan\u2019s share of the Nile in violation of a 1959 treaty. \u201cIt\u2019s time for Egypt to pay what it owes Sudan, and time for Sudan to get its full share of the water,\u201d he said. Following his statements on the Nile, Ghandour went on to state that Sudan will not stop pressing its claim of the disputed region of Halayeb. Sudan had proposed that Egypt sign a similar sovereignty handover treaty with Egypt as it did with Saudi Arabia over the islands of Tiran and Sanafir or accept international arbitration, something which the Egyptians have refused, Ghandour added.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A lame excuse? <\/strong>Sudan\u2019s Irrigation and Electricity Minister Mutaz Musa had said on Sunday that his country and Ethiopia\u2019s refusal to accept the independent impact report came down to them disputing the \u201cbaseline data\u201d of the report (whatever that means), <a href=\"http:\/\/sudantribune.com\/spip.php?article64046\">Sudan Tribune reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We\u2019re seeing a much less combative tone from Qatar, whose Foreign Minister<\/strong><strong>Mohamed Al Thani who said that Egypt's safety and security is in Qatar\u2019s interest.<\/strong> He then went on to say that his country wasn\u2019t to blame for the deteriorating relations between them, <a href=\"https:\/\/arabic.sputniknews.com\/arab_world\/201711201027673427-%D9%82%D8%B7%D8%B1-%D9%85%D8%B5%D8%B1-%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%AC%D9%8A%D8%A9-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%82%D8%B7%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9\/\">Sputnik Arabic reports<\/a>.
