Russia extended continued a three-month \u201cclean sweep\u201d in orders from the world\u2019s biggest wheat buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), UkrAgroConsult reports<\/a>. Russia\u2019s continued wins in GASC tenders against other suppliers came driven by weakness in the rouble and \u201cincreased competition\u201d on international markets. GASC has so far bought 3.79 mn tonnes of wheat in 2017-18, of which 2.42 mn came from Russia, including all of the wheat GASC bought last Wednesday.
