The law, which had <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2016\/09\/01\/parliament-approves-law-on-resolution-of-tax-disputes\/\">passed the House in September 2016<\/a>, removed tax dispute cases from the courts and handed them over to newly-established committees to seek amicable settlements. Its mandate had originally been limited to one year, but the Finance Ministry <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2017\/08\/21\/finance-ministry-looks-to-extend-mandate-for-tax-dispute-resolution-act\/\">had signaled in August<\/a> that it would be looking to extend its application until all tax disputes are settled, particularly as it helped the ministry <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2017\/09\/07\/tax-revenues-for-fy2016-17-exceed-targets-for-the-first-time-ever-by-c-33\/\">exceed its tax revenue targets<\/a> for FY2016-17. Unless there\u2019s a provision buried in the law making an extension a cabinet-level decision (and we\u2019ve seen no evidence of that), expect this will now go back to the House for approval.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cabinet also reportedly approved the purchase of wind-generate power from three stations<\/strong> that Lekela Power, Italgen, and Marubeni plan to construct, head of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company\u2019s (EETC) tariff unit Lamiaa Youssef <a href=\"https:\/\/alborsanews.com\/2017\/11\/01\/1062159\">tells Al Borsa<\/a>. The EETC will purchase the power at USD 0.036-0.038 per kWh for 25 years, government sources tell the newspaper. <strong>The stations will produce a combined 1.170 GW of power. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The ministers also agreed to suspend issuing licenses for billboards<\/strong>, and form a committee to set new regulations for the issuance of further licenses, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.almalnews.com\/Story\/351591\/20\/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%A1-%D9%8A%D9%88%D8%B6%D8%AD-%D8%A3%D8%B3%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%A8-%D9%88%D9%82%D9%81-%D9%85%D9%86%D8%AD-%D8%AA%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%AE%D9%8A%D8%B5-%D9%84%D8%A5%D8%B9%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%86%D8%A7%D8%AA-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B7%D8%B1%D9%82%E2%80%8E\">Al Mal reports<\/a>.
