The international community has \u201cfailed\u201d to pressure Egypt to improve press freedom conditions<\/strong>, The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) says<\/a> on an otherwise fairly quiet day for Egypt in the foreign press. CPJ labelled Egypt as one of the \u201cworst\u201d jailers of journalists, placing it in third place on a list that is led by Turkey and China. Egypt is home to 20 of a total 262 jailed journalists worldwide.<\/p>\n
