Gov\u2019t promises to repeal port fee hikes brought back shipping alliance to East<\/strong>Port Said: <\/strong>It appears that the Transport Ministry won back an alliance of five shipping lines that had ceased East Port Said operations earlier this year by promising to repeal a decision to raise port fees by as much 100%, said Yang Ming Marine Transport\u2019s Egypt shipping agent Mohamed Moselhy. He added that the alliance \u2014 made up of Yang Ming, Hapag-Lloyd, K Line, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, and the NYK Group \u2014 had also been drawn back by other incentives such as a 50% break on Suez Canal port fees<\/a>. Transport Minister Hisham Arafathad met with these shipping during a roadshow in Germany and London last week<\/a>.
