Members of parliament\u2019s Housing Committee have agreed that the government\u2019s proposed three-month legislation to settle building code violations cannot pass without the Unified Building Code amendments, Al Masry Al Youm reports<\/a>. At a meeting on Wednesday, the committee agreed that both laws would have to pass together as they are too closely intertwined and complement each other. Furthermore, MPs including Ahmed El Seggeny, also fear that the law would not have any teeth as it would only be for a three-month period.
