As <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/02\/14\/eehc-receives-three-financial-offers-for-usd-8-bn-hamrawein-power-plant\/\">we noted last week<\/a>, three consortiums are bidding on the project. Sources also tell us that the EEHC will announce the final winners of the project in two weeks. Our sources tell us the breakdown of the offers is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Orascom Construction, Elsewedy Electric, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems consortium: <\/strong>The group is quoting USD 7 bn to build the plant and has generation costs at USD 0.045 per KWh.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shanghai Electric, Dong Fang, Hassan Allam Construction consortium: <\/strong>The consortium is quoting a price tag of USD 4.4 bn, with 27% of the costs to be paid in EGP to meet the EEHC\u2019s domestic component requirements.
