<\/a> The partners in Israel\u2019s natural gas field Leviathan announced that all conditions have been met to allow the supply of gas to Jordan\u2019s electric company<\/strong>, Reuters reports<\/a>. \u201cThey said the capacity of the pipeline that will connect to Jordan via a direct pipeline and one that runs via Egypt would allow the flow of up to 10 bcm of gas a year.\u201d The Leviathan partners signed a 15-year USD 10 bn agreement to supply 1.6 tcf of gas to Jordan\u2019s National Electric Power Company in 2016.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Noble Energy and Delek Drilling are looking to purchase the rights to use the East Mediterranean Gas Company\u2019s pipeline to transport gas to its customers in Egypt<\/strong>, according to the newswire<\/a>. The companies did not provide further details, but Delek said \u201cthere was no certainty\u201d that talks will lead to a binding agreement. Reports had emerged last month<\/a> that Delek and Noble had begun talks with EMG\u2019s shareholders to acquire the company, and that the flow of EMG\u2019s pipeline would be reversed if the agreement goes through.
