The Health Ministry shut down 59 health facilities in Dakahlia for failing to meet health and technical standards as part of its ongoing inspection campaign on these facilities, the ministry announced yesterday, Al Masry Al Youm reports<\/a>. The shutdowns come ahead of the launch of the Universal Healthcare Act this year, which will create new healthcare regulators to ensure quality control at hospitals. Separately, the ministry had shut down the Heliopolis hospital earlier this month<\/a> over what it said were \u201clife threatening\u201d violations.
