Africa Energy has secured funding from Saudi investors to establish solar-powered irrigation projects in remote villages in Egypt, Chairman Ahmed Hamdy tells Al Shorouk<\/a>. The 10-500 KW solar power stations, which are estimated to cost EGP 200k-10 mn, will sell power to landowners in installments once completed. The projects will be carried out in Qena, Siwa, Farafra, Dakhla, and Kharga.
