Misr International Films is restoring 20 films by co-founder and world-renowned Egyptian director Youssef Chahine<\/strong> to mark the 10th anniversary of his passing, Screen Daily reports<\/a>. Beginning with his first film Baba Amin (1950), MIF will enhance, digitize and add subtitles to all of Chahine\u2019s works to ensure they reach as wide an audience as possible. The company plans to have all the films ready by September to be screened in retrospectives at La Cinematheque Fran\u00e7aise in Paris and Zawya Cinema in Cairo.<\/p>\n
