LEGISLATION WATCH- Amendments to the House of Representatives Act will likely be \u201cextensive,\u201d<\/strong> House Legislative Committee secretary Ehab El Tamhawy tells Al Shorouk<\/a>. In its current form, the law \u2014 which will set election guidelines and govern the establishment of coalition and party formations \u2014 is tailored to the assembly that was voted in after the passing of the 2014 constitution, according to El Tamhawy. The committee will therefore include amendments to several articles to enshrine minority representation quotas and the distribution of seats between party-affiliated and independent MPs, which Support Egypt Coalition MP Hisham Emara had previously said<\/a> would be set at 75% and 25%, respectively.
