Members of the European Union are losing it, Saudi and the UAE are crowing, and Egypt is tending its knitting. We have chapter and verse in Speed Round, below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Okay, but what does it mean for oil prices? <\/strong>The consensus is that prices are likely to rise. Iran raised its oil output by c. 1 mn barrels per day when sanctions were lifted in 2016, and \u201cat least some of that\u201d will be pulled now at the same time as oil is already north of USD 70 thanks to production cuts from OPEC and Russia, <a href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2018\/05\/08\/investing\/oil-prices-trump-iran-sanctions\/index.html\">CNN notes.<\/a> Reuters, meanwhile, thinks <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-iran-nuclear-oil\/iran-oil-exports-to-europe-asia-at-risk-following-trump-decision-idUSKBN1I93DT\">Iranian exports to Europe and Asia are at risk<\/a>. Iran currently exports about 2.5 mn barrels of its 3.8 mn BOPD of production, with China, India and other Asian countries its top markets. <strong>Brent crude was up 1.9% after the announcement to USD 76.27<\/strong> while WTI rose 1.6%, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/0839906e-5323-11e8-b3ee-41e0209208ec\">Financial Times<\/a> notes, quoting an analyst report that says the sanctions announcement \u201cputs into place a scenario that could see <strong>the crude oil market tighten significantly in H2 2018<\/strong> and into next year.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2018-05-08\/trump-s-iran-decision-what-s-at-stake-for-global-oil-market\">Bloomberg also has a decent rexplainer.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>On the whole, Arab youth currently see the United States as an enemy<\/strong>, according to the 2018 Arab Youth Survey. In 2016, 32% of Arab youth saw the United States as an enemy. Today, that figure stands at 57%. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arabyouthsurvey.com\">You an explore the full survey here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>So, investing in non-public private equity general partners is now a thing<\/strong>, the Financial Times\u2019 Sujeet Indap tells us this morning.
