<\/a> Egypt is safer than the US and the UK, according to a global ranking by Gallup. <\/strong>The 135-country survey saw Egypt ranked as the safest country in Africa and the Middle East, scoring 88 points on the 2018 Global Law and Order<\/a>. That\u2019s up from 82 points the previous year<\/a>. The poll was based on the degree of confidence in police, how safe people felt walking alone at night, and whether they\u2019ve been through a mugging or robbery in the past 12 months. The overall ranking of the MENA region dropped two points, compared to last year.<\/p>\n
