<\/a> The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) will reportedly reissue the global tender for the power interconnection project with Sudan<\/a> in August, in hopes of attracting better financial and technical offers, company sources tell Al Mal<\/a>. The EETC \u2014 which had issued the same tender once before but failed to generate enough interest<\/a> \u2014 only received three offers for the project in the most recent bidding round from Elsewedy Electric, Orascom Construction, and India\u2019s Larsen & Toubro, according to the sources. The Indian offer was the best, but the EETC found that the company lacks the experience necessary to take on the USD 60-70 mn project, they added. Sources said last month<\/a> that Larsen & Toubro had won the contract and was to set sign final agreements in September.
