Some 22 Egyptian issuers are attending.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"content-anchor\" id=\"tldr-story-05\"><\/a> <strong>Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry is set to meet with his Sudanese counterpart Al Dridiri Al Dhaheri in Cairo today. <\/strong>The two were originally scheduled to sit down yesterday, but the meeting was postponed as Shoukry was in Addis Ababa for talks on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), according to a Foreign Ministry statement <a href=\"http:\/\/english.ahram.org.eg\/NewsContent\/1\/64\/310428\/Egypt\/Politics-\/Egypt-foreign-minister-postpones-meeting-with-Suda.aspx\">picked up by Ahram Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Italian Deputy Prime Minister Luigi Di Maio is in Cairo today for a three-day visit.<\/strong> He is expected to talk energy, infrastructure and trade with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, <a href=\"http:\/\/gate.ahram.org.eg\/News\/2005947.aspx\">state-run Al Ahram reports<\/a>. The investigation into the murder of Italian grad student Giulio Regeni is also likely on the agenda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El Sisi to hold meeting on GERD in China this Saturday? <\/strong>If you, like us, get <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webmd.com\/heartburn-gerd\/guide\/reflux-disease-gerd-1#1\">GERD<\/a> when thinking when thinking about the GERD, take heart: The next big checkpoint in the story appears to be this coming Saturday. Macron did not specify the exact dates but said that his visit will coincide with our <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/01\/29\/egypt-elected-to-preside-over-au-summit-in-2019\/\">appointment to chair the 2019 African Union summit<\/a>. The president previously announced that <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/07\/30\/what-were-tracking-on-29-july-2018\/\">his trip to Egypt<\/a> will be sometime in November or December 2018. Egyptian ambassador to India Hatem Tageldin told reporters there yesterday that Modi\u2019s visit is agreed, it\u2019s just about working out a time. Tageldin also expects India\u2019s defense and environment ministers to visit Cairo before the year is out. The sit-down would be the fifth between Modi and El Sisi, who have worked consistently to grow political and business ties. May is looking to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/67d2b40c-aa0c-11e8-94bd-cba20d67390c?tagToFollow=d645fe71-259a-4192-83b0-d687b4a474fb\">counter-balance France<\/a>\u2019s influence in Africa, the newspaper adds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abraaj dodges jail term with settlement in bounced-cheque case: <\/strong>Abraaj founder Arif Naqvi reached a settlement agreement in a case over USD 217 mn-worth of bad cheques, his lawyer said two days after a UAE court handed Naqvi a three-year prison sentence, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2018-08-28\/abraaj-s-naqvi-sentenced-to-jail-in-u-a-e-court-documents-show\">according to Bloomberg<\/a>. The news was confirmed by attorneys on the opposing side, who said that \u201call criminal proceedings relating to this case have been discontinued.\u201d The parties will also \u201capply to the court and the public prosecution to withdraw the cases brought on the bounced checks,\u201d Naqvi\u2019s lawyer Habib Al Mulla said. The case, which was filed by another of Abraaj\u2019s founding shareholders, Hamid Jafar, is the <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/08\/02\/more-of-what-were-tracking-on-1-august-2018\/\">second of its kind<\/a> to be brought against him.
