He argues that the K-12 education reform strategy, which the World Bank is backing with a USD 500 mn loan, considers only two things: Early education and the digital transformation that will see students receive government-issued tablets to use in the classroom and for exams. It does not, however, address overcrowded classrooms or the fact that curriculums are in need of a serious update, according to Rabie.
