The takeaways? Amazon, its local skirmishers (<u><a href=\"https:\/\/egypt.souq.com\/eg-en\/\">hello, Souq<\/a><\/u>) and its imitators (<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jumia.com.eg\/\">hi, Jumia<\/a><\/u>) will pressure many outlets, but successful retailers will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>feature products that customers can\u2019t get elsewhere<\/li>\n<li>deliver a satisfying experience<\/li>\n<li>challenge the fundamental assumptions of commerce<\/li>\n<li>resurrect the art of selling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You know veganism has gone mainstream when it makes the Financial Times. <\/strong>We love steak in these parts.
