He did not reveal the names of the banks who were invited to join the tender. The <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/09\/16\/govt-expects-egp-2-8-bn-in-proceeds-from-sale-of-20-stake-in-amoc-hsbc-confirmed-as-manager\/\">government had hired<\/a> HSBC to manage the sale of shares from the Alexandria Mineral Oils Company (AMOC) and EFG Hermes to take on the Eastern Company transaction.<\/p>\n<p>On a related note, <strong>Eastern Company announced yesterday that it will be executing a 5:1 stock split on 27 September<\/strong>, bringing its par value down to EGP 1 from EGP 5, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.egx.com.eg\/downloads\/Bulletins\/221234_1.pdf\">according to an EGX filing (pdf)<\/a>. Eastern\u2019s issued capital will remain the same at EGP 2.25 bn. The EGX\u2019s board of directors had <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/07\/29\/listed-companies-can-now-split-their-stocks-more-than-once-a-year-under-new-simplified-procedures\/\">approved a decision in July<\/a> that allows listed companies to split their stocks as many times a year as they want, as opposed to once previously. The decision \u2014 which means to facilitate the restructuring of government companies ahead of the start of the state\u2019s privatization program \u2014 also exempts those with a lower turnover rate than the market average from seeking regulatory approval ahead of a share split transaction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So, what\u2019s the schedule <\/strong>for fall stake sales by state-owned companies?
