Egyptian and US military personnel will running Bright Star wargames for the second year in a row<\/strong>, according to an Armed Forces statement<\/a>. The combined-arms exercises, which focused on counter-terror activities last year when brought back after an eight-year hiatus<\/a>, run 8-20 September. Ground troops, naval forces and aircraft from the UK, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, France, Italy, Greece and Jordan will also participate. The first Bright Star exercises took place in 1980 and ran largely every second year<\/a> until postponed in 2011 and then scrapped by the Obama administration in 2013.<\/p>\n

A delegation of more than two dozen Indian business leaders and government officials will be in Egypt<\/strong> from 8 to 12 September for trade and investment talks, according to Al Masry Al Youm<\/a>. The delegation is expected to meet with a number of ministers and high-ranking officials and invite prominent Egyptians to attend the Gujarat Global Summit, which will be held in January 2019.<\/p>\n
