Talk of power cuts lit up screens across the nation: <\/strong>Almost every pundit on the airwaves last night had something to say about the decision<\/a> to temporarily extend power cuts for an additional hour yesterday and today on the back of rising temperatures squeezing demand.<\/p>\n

Amr Adib didn\u2019t like the surprise: <\/strong>\u201cWhat\u2019s more important than the power cuts crisis is how to address it. The government needs to provide a roadmap on how to work out the electricity load-shedding crisis in the coming period,\u201d Amr Adib said on his show Al Hekaya (watch, runtime: 26:48<\/a>). He urged the government not to keep the people in the dark and wondered whether the lack of any warning was due to members of the current government set to soon be replaced with a new government expected to be sworn in this week. \u201cWe\u2019re done talking about the reasons for load shedding. We know we have an energy problem, but treat us well and show us some respect.\u201d<\/p>\n
