Two Olympic dreams. <\/strong>Egypt is walking into the 2024 Paris Olympic Games with its biggest ever delegation of athletes in hopes of outdoing its performance in the 2021 games \u2014 its best in over seven decades \u2014 Reuters<\/a> writes. Another strong performance would \u201ccontinue to build [Egypt\u2019s] credentials for a possible tilt at hosting the Summer Games in 2036,\u201d the newswire writes. <\/p>\n

Where do things stand? <\/strong>Egypt is ready to organize the games, Egyptian Olympic Committee Treasurer Mohamed Abdel Aziz said, adding it has reached \u201c60% of the organizing efforts, including facilities, roads \u2026 the rest are related to budget and financial issues.\u201d<\/p>\n

This wouldn\u2019t be Egypt\u2019s first crack at hosting the competition:<\/strong> Following three failed Olympic bids, Egypt has spent the past seven or eight years<\/a> developing the main support infrastructure to make it better qualified to host the games, which includes the new capital\u2019s 92-acre Olympic City.
