The statement provides few further details, but suggests that the two countries have already reached common ground and that El Sisi and Putin will be dotting the i\u2019s and crossing the t\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A long time in the making: <\/strong>We\u2019ve had our fingers crossed <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/08\/12\/are-russian-flights-returning-to-the-red-sea-this-coming-winter\/\">since August<\/a> that the Russians could be making a comeback to Hurghada and Sharm after Russian tour companies began kicking the tires on travel packages to offer once flights resume. Direct air travel between Cairo and Moscow <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/04\/12\/russians-finally-return-after-egypt-sees-23-y-o-y-surge-in-tourist-arrivals-in-1q2018\/\">resumed last April<\/a>, following protracted negotiations over security concerns after the 2015 Metrojet crash.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Putin and El Sisi are also expected to discuss military cooperation<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/tass.com\/defense\/1024755\">according to Russia\u2019s TASS<\/a>. Trade ties and the latest developments at Egypt\u2019s Dabaa nuclear plant (being built by Rosatom) and the Russian Industrial Zone will also be on the agenda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El Sisi and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev touched on some of these issues<\/strong> when they met yesterday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Egy.Pres.Spokesman\/posts\/490356898150362?__tn__=-R\">according to an Ittihadiya statement<\/a>.
