Zahi Hawass is unhappy. <\/strong>The self-styled \u201cIndiana Jones\u201d of Egypt is complaining that Cleopatra\u2019s Needle obelisk is not being restored or receiving the attention it deserves on the banks of UK\u2019s River Thames, he tells the National<\/a>. Hawass suggests that the 21-metre high obelisk \u2014 which was given to the UK as a gift from Khedive Muhammad Ali Pasha in 1819 \u2014 should be the centerpiece of a binational celebration next year. \u201cIf they don't care, they should return it,\u201d the one-time antiquities ministry boss said, adding that he felt \u201cashamed\u201d when he visited the monument.
