No surprise: <\/strong>Madbouly staying on as prime minister comes as no surprise, especially with the amount of murmurs we have heard about the matter before the official announcement yesterday, Al Shorouk Editor in Chief Emad El Din Hussein told Kelma Akhira\u2019s Lamees El Hadidi (watch, runtime: 40:06<\/a>). <\/p>\n

Adib is less than thrilled: <\/strong>\u201cI had hoped that we\u2019d see a new prime minister,\u201d El Hekaya\u2019s Amr Adib said (watch, runtime: 29:35<\/a>), voicing his respect and appreciation for Madbouly, but explaining that he wanted to see a complete overhaul of the cabinet. \u201cThe people want to see new faces with fresh ideas,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n

What do we want from the new cabinet? <\/strong>The new government needs to implement a \u201creal economic reform plan\u201d based on clear goals that will impact the life of the average citizen, El Hadidi said. She added that she would like to see the new cabinet supporting the private sector, improving the investment climate, implementing structural reforms, and having a clear tax policy. <\/p>\n

Who\u2019s in and who\u2019s out: <\/strong>No less than 12 of the country\u2019s 32 ministers will be switched around, Hussein said, pointing to the ministers of supply, culture, environment, and electricity. He expects International Cooperation Minister Rania Al Mashat to retain her position. <\/p>\n
