The House of Representatives had also approved <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/07\/26\/house-approves-legislation-to-channel-5-15-of-slush-funds-to-state-coffers\/\">amendments to the Accounting Act<\/a> that ban the use of paper cheques for transactions above a set threshold. The move to e-payments for government services, which was mandated by the National Payments Council, is meant to help regulate public spending.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also approved yesterday:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establishing a 100-feddan <strong>dry port and logistics zone<\/strong> in Six October.
