The government is planning to launch a EGP 200 mn education fund that will be used to finance upgrades and development to Egypt\u2019s education system, Planning Minister Hala El Said said on Wednesday,according to AMAY<\/a>. The fund will focus on hiring new teachers, expanding the number of classrooms and making upgrades to existing facilities, she said. The government plans to raise the capital of the fund to EGP 1 bn before the end of the fiscal year in June, she noted.
