LEGISLATION WATCH- Executive regulations for the Ride Hailing Apps Act will be ready before year-end<\/strong>, Mohamed Hegazy, the head of the CIT Ministry\u2019s legislative division, tells Masrawy<\/a>. The act passed the House of Representatives in May<\/a> and was signed into law in June<\/a>. The executive regulations were initially due<\/a> out in September. We had heard shortly after the announcement<\/a> would not be ready before January 2019, but now appear to be on the fast track after recent protests<\/a> by Uber and Careem drivers over the delay.
