Khalil, who has been in talks with potential lenders to finance the acquisition, had estimated that he would have to secure up to <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/11\/15\/medhat-khalil-said-to-seek-up-to-egp-800-mn-in-bank-finance-for-raya-take-private-bid\/\">EGP 800 mn<\/a> to acquire the outstanding 58% of Raya \u2014 which he said would be impossible to achieve before the deadline.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Background:<\/strong> The FRA had ordered that Khalil launch an <a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.press\/stories\/2018\/10\/31\/medhat-khalil-co-looking-to-submit-mto-for-raya\/\">MTO or sell off shares<\/a> in Raya after declaring he had triggered the MTO requirement with an effective stake of more than 33%.
