Oil Minister Tarek El Molla met yesterday with Saudi Arabia\u2019s Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih to discuss cooperation prospects between Saudi and Egypt in the mining industry, particularly as Egypt is pushing through with amendments to the Mineral Resources Act, according to a ministry statement (pdf)<\/a>. El Molla also met with UAE Minister of State and Adnoc Group CEO Sultan Al Jaber to look into potential investments in Egypt\u2019s oil and gas sector, and had a similar sit-down with US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Oil and Natural Gas Shawn Bennett. The minister also discussed plans for exploration and production activities in Egypt with the heads of several international oil companies, including BP, Shell, Halliburton, Schlumberger, and Edison.
