The Housing Ministry is currently in talks with real estate representatives about a proposed law to regulate investments in the sector, ministry sources said<\/a>. The ministry is working to expedite the issuance of the law, which is meant to resolve issues the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) faces in its dealings with developers, including an inability to evaluate competing companies before receiving tender bids, the sources said. The bill is expected to be completed within six months, said Deputy Housing Minister Khaled Abbas.
