The Potcast Productions concludes early financing round:<\/strong> Local podcast production startup The Potcast Productions Company<\/a> (TPP) has concluded an early financing round that will enable its regional expansion, beginning with Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the company said in a press release (pdf)<\/a>. <\/p>\n

TPP secured the funding through Shark Tank Egypt\u2019s second season<\/strong>, where the company\u2019s founders pitched their startup and Dina Ghabbour (bio<\/a>) \u2014 one of the investors on the show \u2014 offered them EGP 6 mn in funding in return for a 20% stake in the company (watch, runtime: 29:05<\/a>). The statement didn\u2019t disclose the final details of the agreement, the value and stake sold and company representatives refused to share the details when Enterprise reached out yesterday. <\/p>\n

What TPP does: <\/strong>The company has so far created 15 different podcast programs that span across a number of genres including comedy, crime, mental health, and news. It also offers marketing services for content creators to help them generate higher earnings.<\/p>\n
