Egyptian exports on the rise: <\/strong>Egypt\u2019s exports grew 5.3% y-o-y in the first three months of the year to total USD 9.6 bn, a Trade Ministry report<\/a> said on Tuesday, citing data from the General Organization for Export and Import Control. <\/p>\n

Our favorite customers: <\/strong>Turkey topped the list of importers of Egyptian products for the quarter, importing some USD 874 mn-worth of goods. It was followed by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Italy, and the US. <\/p>\n

What is Egypt exporting? <\/strong>Building materials were the most in-demand export in 1Q 2024,accounting for 20.4% of our total exports, followed by foodstuff, chemical products and fertilizers, and agricultural exports. An increased export volume of citrus fruits, nitrogen fertilizers, and insulated cables, and gold, accounted for the overall increase in Egypt\u2019s exports this year, according to a separate statement<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Boosting exports is at the forefront of El Sisi\u2019s third term in office: <\/strong>The government plans<\/a><\/a>to launch<\/a> a six-year export strategy \u2014 dubbed EgyExTriple 10 \u2014 to increase exports every year by 15-20% so as to reach USD 145 bn in exports a year by 2030 by establishing ten specialized export zones, developing ten export-oriented industrial zones, and focusing on ten unidentified key export markets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
